Joining our Neighborhood Watch

We invite you to join our group. We meet on a quarterly basis (usually every 3 months) and we keep in touch through telephone, e-mail and our website. We know people are busy, so participation is based on your own level of interest and time.

As neighbors we get together, eat good food, get to know one another and have a good time. As an official cabinet of the city, we have liaisons with the LAPD, The Fire Department, Los Angeles City Council, and Neighborhood Council. We work together to create change in our neighborhood. So far our group has accomplished receiving increased LAPD patrol in the neighborhood, alley clean-up and we are currently moving toward increased street lighting and tree trimming.

Benefits of joining our group include (but are not limited to):
*An increased sense of safety and connectedness with your neighbors

*Your point-of-view about the neighborhood and your needs being heard

*As a group we have more power to get individual and group needs met from LAPD and from the city

*We learn about safety, emergency preparedness and accessing city services

*More cohesive neighborhood support during disaster and emergency

*And we make new friends!

We encourage you to join us. Membership is free; it only requires occasional attendance at our meetings and a willingness to be a good neighbor and a good witness.

Feel free to call us anytime at 213-375-8790. Our voicemail provides information about upcoming meetings and neighborhood alerts.
